Celiac disease (or gluten intolerance or allergy, any of them) has symptoms that are not only often obscure or random or inconsistent, but also typically are perceived as related to other issues in the body. Your doctor now seems like an understanding and intelligent sort so request the gluten antibody test to "rule it out".
